CRCD, in cooperation with Balkan Net  (International Foundation based in Skopje) will implement the project “USE-IT MAP OF SKOPJE: INNOVATIVE AND INTERACTIVE MAP FOR YOUNG PEOPLE”. The project is supported and approved by the City of Skopje.

The project includes preparation of an interactive and innovative map of Skopje for young people with interesting locations and references exclusively for young people who visit Skopje.

The objectives of the project are to stimulate the local economic growth through the development and support of tourism in the region of the City of Skopje and actively to engage youth volunteers for promoting the City.

The idea is to prepare a tourist map and tourist guide of the city of Skopje, which will be aimed at young people and tourists. The experience and practice have shown that the existing maps of our capital are uniformed and monotonous. Stimulated by the European practice we want to facilitate the promotion of our capital and to attract young tourists. This kind of maps are already long available in many countries across Europe. Such maps are presented at USE-IT Europe (http://www.use-it.travel/home) to support local youth and to promote cities. Once it will be prepared, our map will be submitted to the USE-IT office in Brussels as well as in the other USE-IT offices across Europe. Thus, this map will be promoted in a number of countries in Europe.

We hope that by the end of this year, the city of Skopje will be placed among the various European cites having their own USE-IT map for young people.
